A beautiful evergreen low clumping yucca native to north-central Texas. Its flexible, pale bluish-green leaves are about 1″ wide with finely serrated, pale yellow to white margins. It produces a stalk covered by large, white, bell-shaped flowers in late spring. It can eventually form wide clumps with up to 30 heads.
A larval host plant for the Yucca Giant Skipper Butterfly.
Like all yuccas, Yucca pallida requires good drainage. It may be grown in the shade garden for textural interest, but may not bloom as well as those in more sun. Remove spent flower stalks.
