A beautiful and rare evergreen yucca endemic to the Chihuahuan Desert. It forms a rosette of very narrow and pointed, bluish-green leaves eventually growing to 3′-4′ tall. It matures to a tree-like form, similar to Spanish Dagger. Large clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers rise up in early summer that attract hummingbirds.
Linear Leaf Yuccas appreciate gritty, sandy soil that is well-draining. Once it is established, this yucca is extremely drought tolerant. It will do best in full sun with at least six hours of sunlight. If planted in less sun, its leaves will turn a paler shade of green, and it will flower less successfully.
