An evergeen, perennial succulent that forms a rounded rosette of thick, broad, cupped gray-blue leaves lined with small teeth. Mature plants only flower once after over 10 years with a spike that can reach 14′ tall and bears dense clusters of yellow-green flowers.
Plant in well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. Drought tolerant once established, but grows larger with regular irrigation. Attracts hummingbirds and other birds.
