Commonly known as Coral Reef Sedum, Coral Reef Stonecrop, and Chinese Sedum.
‘Coral Reef’ is a low-growing, mat-forming, evergreen sedum cultivar with round, flat succulent leaves that typically grows to only 3” tall but spreads to 12” wide or more. Creeping stems easily root at the nodes. Leaves take on coral highlights in summer and turns almost entirely coral in fall. Tiny, star-shaped, yellow flowers bloom in July-August on stems rising to 4-5” tall.
Often used as a groundcover, to fill in areas or spill over edges. Great for rock gardens, containers, retaining walls, edging.
Easily grown in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates some shade, especially in Texas and similar climates. Needs good soil drainage to perform well. Avoid overwatering. Drought tolerant.
