This compact clump forming mint has narrow leaves with a stiff, erect structure. The minty-smelling plants usually grow up to 30″ tall, but in rich soil can get up to 4′ tall. They have flower clusters with many, small, two-lipped corollas appearing white to lavender with purple spots.
Slender Mountain Mint performs best in full sun but is highly adaptable and can tolerate partial shade. It is a drought-tolerant, hardy perennial that prefers dry to medium-moisture, well-drained soils. While it thrives in drier conditions once established, it requires regular watering during its initial growth phase. It’s adaptable to rocky, sandy, or clay soils.
