Blackcurrant – (Marky Smith, R. 1998). Seedling 93-31A. IB, height 25″ (64 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards plum purple (RHS 79A) blending to primrose yellow wire edge; style arms clear yellow, midrib and style crests brushed violet; falls redder than standards, primrose yellow wire rim and veins, blue violet toward center, pure yellow surrounding beard; beards cream at end, yellow in midsection, orange in throat; ruffled; slight sweet fragrance. ‘Fancy Woman’ X ‘Genstar’. Aitken’s Salmon Creek 1999. Honorable Mention 2001.
