Fava is suitable for colder climates and for early spring planting. It is a classic English bean with 5-6” fleshy pods. The plants grow 3-4’ tall.

Planting tip: Direct seed after all danger of frost has passed. To continuously harvest fresh beans, plant in 3-week intervals.||
Harvesting tip: Wait until pods and enclosed seeds have reached complete maturity. For dry beans, allow plenty of space for airflow so they can dry later in the season.
Storage tip: Freezing is best if reserved for dry beans.
