This deep blue iris is bursting with ruffles, reminiscent of an open sea. It boasts the most extravagant ruffled flower form of any blue iris I’ve ever seen or come across. Plus, it has a wonderfully sweet fragrance. It blooms in mid-season on tall, 38-inch stalks.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
