A short version of our native aroumatic sumac that tends to grow along the ground, and will self root where it touches soil. This makes it a fantastic ground cover for a difficult spot. I love it’s read and orange fall colour.
Aromatic sumac can be either monoecious (have both male and female flowers) or dioecious (have only male OR female flowers). Catkins form in the fall and bloom in the spring.
