Dichanthelium clandestinum, also known as Deertongue Panicgrass or Deertongue Witchgrass, is a native perennial grass. It is found in shady moist woodland areas, moist sandy soil, in ditches, and along roadsides. This species produces open-pollinated flowers initially, then later in the season they produce self-pollinating flowers on small inflorescences that are usually hidden within the sheathes. Both types of flowers produce viable seeds.
