Lupinus Popsicle Series Blue Common Name: Lupine, Family: Fabaceae Zone 4 to 6 (annuals in 7 and 9). Full sun to partial shade, light afternoon shade in hot summer locations. Mature height is 18 to 24 inches, 12 to 16 inches spread. Clump forming herbaceous perennial. Large spikes of solid purple-blue flowers are produced in early summer, with several flower stems rising above the attractive fan-shaped leaves. They are about a foot shorter than the Russell Hybrids and bloom about 2 weeks earlier too.
