Beautiful and early variety with fruits that turn shiny black in the sun. Rich in the powerful antioxidant anthocyanin, these large, stunning fruits offer mild, aromatic tomato flavor improved by full ripening from shiny black to matte purple. Resists cracking and sunscald, with some resistance to late blight. Bred by Brad Gates using an original cross made by PKS Heirlooms in Copemish, MI. 4-6 oz INDETERMINATE..

Companion plants: Basil, Parsley, Carrot, Asparagus, Alliums, Celery, Borage, Marigold, Calendula, Mint, Sage, Peppers, Dill (until Mature).

Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting.||Reduce water & nitrogen when hardening off. Staking needed.
Harvesting tip: For best taste harvest when fully ripe, expressed its full colour. Can also harvest when tomato is green and expressed its 1st blush; if so, let tomato ripen off-vine above 21°C.
Storage tip: Store at 12-21°C, relative humidity 95%.
