Mophead Hydrangea, Big Leaf Hydrangea: Compact, 3-4′ tall and wide. Long-blooming bright blue flowers when acid fertilizer is used, or mixed with shades of pink and purple in more alkaline conditions. Easy to grow, can bloom on new and old stems, great cut flowers, good in containers. Attracts birds, butterflies and pollinators. Full sun to part shade, medium to high water. Seacoast, clay, sand and heat tolerant. Deer and gopher resistant.
