Violet, lavender and canary yellow coloured blossoms. Does well in shade. Spread easily. Edible flowers that taste like wintergreen leaves. Plant often used medicinally.

Companion plants: Columbine, Asters, Phlox, Petunias, Daffodils, Parsley.

Planting tip: Stratify seeds for 2 weeks. Start indoors 10–12 weeks before transplanting. Sow 1/4″ deep and keep in complete darkness until germination (~14 days).||
Harvesting tip: Harvest young leaves and flowers when tender, typically in spring. Flowers are edible and make attractive garnishes.
Storage tip: Use fresh for best flavor. Can be dried for potpourri or crystallized w/ sugar for cake decorations.
