The Guajillo pepper is one of the most popular chiles grown in Mexico. They have a great flavor and a mild heat that makes these peppers versatile in much of Mexican cooking.
The Guajillo pepper plant grows around 2-3 ft. tall and produces many pods that are 3-6″ long and 1″ wide. They have a pendant-looking shape, tapering off to a point, with a raisin-like, wrinkly texture and a brownish-red color as they ripen to maturity.
