Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Emerald’ is a low-chill, commercial type Blueberry. Considered to be one of the most vigorous producing varieties of Blueberry. Likes sun, and acidic soils. Amending the soil with pine bark/needles or a acid-based fertilizer. Fruit clusters are tight and do not ripen uniformly, which makes ?Emerald? more difficult to handpick than many cultivars. ?Emerald? is considered a mid-season cultivar for Florida with an extended harvest season. Ripe between April 19 and May 15.
