An Italian heirloom that has a unique nutty taste, light green pattern with bulged ripening. 6” fruit is tender and easy to pick.

Companion plants: Corn, Pole Beans, Peas, Radish, Sunflower, Parsley, Celery, Buckwheat, Nastertium, Marigold, Oregano.

Planting tip: Soak in warm water up to 24H & scarify to improve germination. Can be started indoors, 2-3 weeks before the last frost.||Move outside in late May or early June when soil °T has reached 25°C.
Harvesting tip: Harvest at 4-5”. For round ones, harvest at 2″ diameter. Pick when the skin is soft and glossy. Pick every other day to encourage productivity.
Storage tip: Fruits are perishable and store 3-4 days if kept at 1-2°C at 90% humidity.
