Corn Silk Tea is made from the dried style-and-stigma strands of Zea mays — the fine, thread-like fibers found at the top of a corn ear. Known as Stigma maydis in botanical and pharmacopeial terminology, Pelo de Elote or Barba de Elote in Spanish, Yu Mi Xu (玉米须) in Chinese, and Râu Ngô in Vietnamese, this is the same ingredient across all those names.
