Description A mass planting of these magnificent blooms is simply breath-taking!

The deeply colored blooms look wonderful as cutflowers!

The Caryopteris ‘Longwood Blue’ Blue Mist Shrub can easily be encouraged into a long hedge that has an abundant amount of bright blue flowers set on long, slender flowerheads. This repeat bloomer’s flowering season is from midsummer to mid-fall and blooms most bountifully from midsummer to fall. The flowerheads sit atop light green and silvery gray foliage and make fabulous cut flowers.

The Caryopteris ‘Longwood Blue’ has an upright growing habit and reaches a height of 2 to 4 feet and a width of 2 to 4 feet. It fares well in full sunlight in the North or partial shade in the South. Caryopteris ‘Longwood Blue’ also does well in dry to moist soil as long as it is well-drained. This plant is deer resistant and heat tolerant, and butterflies love it.

The Caryopteris ‘Longwood Blue’ shrub makes an ideal border or hedge. In order to create a long hedge, shrubs should be spaced 3 to 4 feet apart.
