Buttercream Pie (Elizabeth Rieniets, 2019) is a tall bearded iris reaching 19″ (48 cm) and blooming late in the season. This variety features elegant white standards with a dandelion yellow base and subtle seafoam yellow highlights. The style arms are white with dandelion edges and an old lilac stigma, while the falls are white with dandelion edging, veining at the base, and a hint of seafoam yellow. The beards display a vibrant mandarin orange in the throat and middle, transitioning to dandelion tips and white at the ends. Bred from ‘Jersey Cream’ X unknown, Buttercream Pie was introduced by Constant Gardener in 2020 and received an Honorable Mention in 2024.
