The Bola pepper is a chile from Spain that has little to no heat. It comes from the area of Estremadura and is traditionally used to make a popular pepper powder called Pimenton de la Vera used in many Spanish dishes. The Bola peppers ripen from green to red and have a round squash like shape about 2 inches in diameter. The flesh is thick enough so they can be pickled or stuffed. The Bola chile plants grow over 3 feet tall. SHU 0-500
