Agastache coccinea x aurantiaca ‘Apricot Sunrise’

Agastache, commonly called giant hyssop, is a genus containing about 30 species of upright herbaceous perennials, most of which are native to North America. ‘Apricot Sunrise” is an F-1 hybrid resulting from a cross between A. coccinea and A. aurantiaca (both native to northwestern Mexico).

Spikes of soft golden orange to yellowish 1″ long tubular nectar-rich flowers bloom summer through fall atop the grayish-green fragrant foliage. A hummingbird magnet. Also loved by bees and butterflies, so perfect for a pollinator garden.

Plant in a full sun or lightly shaded location and allow the soil to become slightly dry between waterings. Thrives best in fertile, average moisture to periodically dry soil, with excellent drainage, and good air circulation (don’t crowd it). Fairly drought tolerant but looks best with some summer irrigation.
