False Tillandsia: Epiphytic or sometimes terrestrial bromeliad 12-15″ tall and wide with stiff compact rosettes and yellow-green spine-toothed leaves. Centers turn red when the plant is in flower. Showy bright orange-red bracts and pink to violet flowers. Full sun to part shade. Best color in bright light. Low to medium water. Good for cut flowers. Grow indoors or outside.
