A fast growing tree that grows up to 30 feet tall and wide.  It has weeping branches with narrow droopy bright green leaves.  Pale yellow flowers bloom in Spring.  The name Acacia comes either from the Greek word ‘akazo’ meaning “to sharpen” or from the Egyptian word ‘akakia’, a name given to the Egyptian Thorn, Acacia arabica.
